Erika Flores | ZOHARI
Born in the heart of Mexico City and raised by a lake in its lush, nature-rich outskirts, I was shaped early on by beauty, contrast, and imagination. Now based in Switzerland, I bridge worlds as both, a visual artist and executive—merging vision with wisdom, and strategy with soul.
I create experiential large-scale commissions and murals embodied in immersive art that blend abstract expressionism, ancestral memory, and collective presence. My creative process is hands-on, intuitive, and often co-creative—offering art that invites bending constructed ideas on creativity, emotional resonance, and transformation.
As an international executive, I’ve led commercial growth strategies for over two decades in consulting and leadership development across Latin America, the U.S., Australia, Monaco and Switzerland. Art, however, has always been my inner compass—from early life inventions in glass featured in national newspapers in Mexico to luxury limited-edition art jewellery collections I personally designed, to curating and promoting world-renowned contemporary photographers and painters—always guided by a passion for the human creative process and a deep respect for artistic originality and integrity.
In 2014, I enrolled in fine arts at the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI)—a turning point that revealed an inner resistance towards artistic academic structure, longing to reveal my personal truth from a place of complete creative freedom. After years abroad, I returned home in 2019 to move to Valle de Bravo—a mystical lake-forest region in central Mexico. There, my reconnection with nature sparked a profound personal transformation, laying the foundation for a professional artistic journey to unfold.
In 2021, I began painting to pay tribute to my heart and soul—the conduits of light and sacred creativity. In 2023, this initial works led to commission large-scale artworks with C-level executives and their families in Munich giving life to centric walls in their homes and gaining recognition for the originality, intimate, yet collaborative creative process, and emotional depth. This success soon led to an invitation to the MOMENTUM–LAGOS residency at Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin, followed by my solo debut in Mexico City, where I exhibited 50 original works spanning abstract expressionism, impressionism, and minimalism.
I now live and work between Munich, Germany and my home atelier in the Drei Weieren lake district of St. Gallen, Switzerland, alongside my husband, whose family carries a strong artistic lineage in Munich—and our beloved pets.
My creative expansion continues to evolve through personal exploration and commissioned works, co-created with collectors in the comfort of their home, or solely in my studio— either way I thrive in creating a masterpiece that envelops my collectors’ unique creative aspiration, personal experience, and aesthetic vision.
