Erika Flores | Zohari
Born in the surreal heart of Mexico City and raised in the lush, nature-rich outskirts by a lake, I was shaped early on by beauty, contrast, and imagination. Today, based in Switzerland, I bridge worlds as a visual artist and international executive—merging vision with wisdom and strategy with soul.
I create large-scale, immersive artworks and murals that weave together abstract expressionism, ancestral memory, and sacred presence. My process is hands-on experiential and co-creative, intuitive yet intentional, mystical yet contemporary. These are not static paintings, but living experiences—artworks that invite embodiment, transformation, and emotional resonance.
From business strategy to sacred creation
Before devoting myself fully to art, I spent over two decades in leadership roles across consulting, fintech, and executive leadership development internationally— leading commercial growth strategies throughout Latin America, the U.S., Australia, and Europe. Yet art has always been my inner compass. As a young creator, my early inventions from abstract painting in glass featured in leading national newspapers in Mexico to limited edition luxury art jewelry collections in the US. Later, alongside my business career, I curated and promoted the work of top world’s renowned contemporary photographers and painters.
In 2014, I enrolled in the Fine Arts program at the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI)—a turning point that reawakened a creative force no academic framework could contain— asking for spirit, wilderness, truth, and a deeper alignment I had yet to fully understand. I didn’t know then how powerfully it would break open my life in the years to come.
Awakening in Nature
In 2019, after living between the U.S. and Mexico for over two decades, I returned home from my last years abroad in California and Switzerland. By 2021, seeking to integrate both— the logical and intuitive brain, I moved to Valle de Bravo, a mystical lake-forest region in central Mexico. There, in the midst of deep emotional and physical pain, I underwent an unexpected yet inevitable profound transformation that would become the foundation of my creative practice.
From this threshold, ZOHARI Art was born—a spiritually and emotionally rich visual language that channels the healing power of nature, ancestral memory, and intuitive creation. Each painting became a conduit of light and sacred presence, holding space for personal and collective remembrance.
Early Success & International Growth
My first private commissions in Mexico City and Munich quickly gained recognition for their originality, emotional depth, co-creative process. These immersive, tailor-made experiences with families and collectors established my reputation as an international performance-based abstract artist, rooted in personal legacy.
This new heightened reality led to an invitation to MOMENTUM–LAGOS Residency at Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin, and my first solo debut in Mexico City, where I exhibited 50 original works that revealed my creative fluidly moving from abstract expressionism, impressionism, and minimalism—a result of untamed, fearless inner exploration.
Current Work & Vision
Today, I live in between the Drei Weieren Lake District of St Georgen in St Gallen, Switzerland—and Munich, Germany where I honor sharing fun times with my initial collectors, now life friends, together with my husband— whose family lineage holds a deep connection to the arts throughout generations, and my beloved pets from Mexico: Doggy, our beauty Saint Bernard, and our two cats, Coco and Honu.
My home atelier is where I explore new materials, deepen my spiritual practice, and create commissioned works for collectors seeking to rekindle the invisible yet emotional language art brings forth. Each piece is a journey of co-creation—revealing unseen layers of identity, ancestry, and consciousness expansion.
Commissions are flexible in nature—some are born through intimate collaboration, others through solitary vision—each rooted in connection and meaning..
I am currently developing a new series for an upcoming solo exhibition in Switzerland, while welcoming international gallery collaborations and collectors drawn to the power of art as a sacred personal and joyful experience.
